career progression, the company nearly doubled in size. that’ll return here at Piedmont soon, without the growth (along with the rest of the industry).

You're joking right? All signs point to PDT downsizing and operating fewer aircraft than they currently do. Also, PDT is only hiring right now to keep up with attrition, PDT is NOT hiring to grow the airline it is merely just trying to keep the operation running. There is no "growth" in the future, those days are over unless a new fleet type happens in the far distant future.

i answered his question. why did i come to piedmont? the growth 5+ years ago. there wont be anymore growth (as stated above).

There has to be a new fleet type coming. Boss Hogg would not have sent the kid over if there wasn't. Think about it.

It was an easier choice when Piedmont was "growing indefinitely". The pay, work rules, and schedules were always known to be subpar. If Piedmont went to 100 jets everyone on property would have flowed so quick or got enough PIC to GTFO faster than anywhere else. Unfortunately management held their cards close to their chest on the actual E145 allotment and recruiting basically gave a ton of people the ol' bait and switch.

You take the career progression out of the equation and Piedmont is just like any other bottom-feeder regional.

PS: If everyone wasn't tripping over themselves going down to 6 days off a month to get triple premium, we would all have been better off.

Or just enough Envoy retreads to keep us alive long enough for him to get hired at mainline.

Something has to be going on behind the scenes. Both management and the union have been suspiciously quiet since covid has started to end and things are returning to "normal" with travel massively returning. Also, there are a lot of people jumping ship this summer out of the Piedmont boat. I fully expect some sort of announcement in the fall.

I can’t even remember the last time the union put something out to all pilots. Town halls are a joke that leave more questions than answers. It’s all smoke and mirrors here
