I'm going to be retiring from the military soon and in the process of putting in an application for PDT. Assuming I get hired I would have to commute from SYR until I could get my house in Watertown sold and then I could move to the Philadelphia area. I was hoping that there would be some people here who could provide me with some insight as to what I could expect it to be like commuting from Syracuse. Its a short distance with what seems like regular AA flights so maybe not too bad? I guess what I'm really kind of worried about is the only two days off between trips and trying to make commuting work with that. I don't want to end up only having one day at home between trips on a regular basis because I lose one to commuting. For this commute is it realistic to think that I wouldn't have to use a crash pad much and not spend nights away before or after trips? Thanks.

You could just commute out of ART on Piedmont.....maybe not every time, but there are 2 flights a day.
