Default DEC questions

Any recent DEC's go thru training lately, how was the training?

Any IOE delays?

How was the training footprint?

Any thing that suprised you?

How long from hire date til CLT was available?

THanks

I'm in training now as an FO. There are no training delays for either FOs or DECs right now, that includes both SIMS and IOE. We have several DECs in our class and they all seem pretty happy with training so far, about 2 of them are typed, the other are not. The training experience has been quite pleasant, imo. Everyone wants Charlotte, so it's probably several months to hold CLT, would be my guess. They are also trying to incentivize MDT (because nobody wants it) by offereing CAs positive space commuting and hotels.

The April permanent bid award shows the most junior CLT captain as a Sep. 23 hire, so 6-7 months for CLT as a captain, think it’s still close to 9 months for FOs.

What are the odds of getting MDT right out of training as a DEC? Also is there schedule different from the PHL base?

Fairly good odds. There has been a temporary vacancy open for the last few months due to low numbers of qualified CAs in MDT. 🤔

Does anyone know the breakdown of trip lengths? Assuming the shorter days would be senior being most people would be at that base due to living there.
