PHF Overnights
Hi everyone...I am ATP complete with about 500 hours of turbine 135 time and live very close to PHF. I know very little about 121 bidding and schedule structure so a Barney style response (if needed) would be appraciated.
Last flight into PHF I heard the Capt talking about overnighting at PHF and it got me thinking if it would be worth it to jump to Piedmont for the overnights at home. So with that, some questions:
How difficult would it be as a juniot FO to build a schedule that allowed overnights at PHF?
Is upgrade based on hours or seniority?
About how long would upgrade be assuming I come through training unscathed and can fly a normal schedule?
Is Philly still a junior base?
Thanks eveyone!

Not sure how easy it is, if even possible, to bid overnight at PHF on trips. Probably not something to count on if being home as many nights as possible is a high priority. There is a ~6pm and ~midnight arrival from CLT on PDT and I believe they RON and the two crews fly them back on the early and mid morning legs.
You'll have to also commute from PHF to base to begin your trips, which will likely be PHL at first. There is no direct service between the two cities, whcih would make commuting to PHL untennable. Even if you bid CLT at some point, i can't see how it's remotely likely you'd get a ton of overnights that just happen to put you there on any given trip.
