Default Onboarding/Background Check

Hello!

Just throwing a quick question out there, I have a class with PDT coming up pretty soon here and wanted to see if the background check process was a pain for anyone else. Additionally how long did it take for yours to clear? Been waiting since Monday, but to be fair, they did need me to go in and update a few documents.

No skeletons in the closet, nothing to be afraid of. I was 100% honest and forthcoming about my training record in the interview and application. Just wondering how long it took everyone else. Thank you! Im excited to get started.

When's your class date? My recruiter told me the background check starts a month out from training and takes about 2 weeks, that should give you enough time to give your current employer notice.

My background check took about a month. Most of the guys in my class, myself included, had our checks run well into our first month of training before they cleared. Don't stress it.

I'm in 3/17 class too and my background check is still pending but if you go into workday you can check if your application is still "offer in progress" or if it says "hire".

"Im starting on the 17th. So I guess that’s plenty of time."

HR sent an email this morning with some (good) updates and additional paperwork, see you in Charlotte!

Dont mind at all.

TT: 1530 (at time of application)
Turbine PIC: 352
Turbine SIC: 416
CFI/CFII
ATP CTP completed

Im a 135 PIC/instructor which I imagine also helps. My interview group only had one 1500 CFI. The rest of us had 135 experience in some capacity. Times are tough. They did, however, say in the HR presentation that the AAL WO carriers are starting a rather large hiring wave to keep up with AAL retirements/hiring so keep at it.
