The QOL once you're a line holder isn't all that bad, you could commute into MDT or LGA really easily. There is always rumors of a PHL base opening up but who knows. I live in SLC and get to spend a fair amount of time at home.

First year pay is grand, second year sucks. Captain upgrade is coming down and all that jazz.

The dash is the best plane that any one has ever flown anywhere hands down. It really is a fun plane to fly, the captains and I will make fun of the guys stuck in RJs all day long. We've got short legs and fly into pretty sweet airports.

Word. He used to turn the heat down when he was conducting FA interviews, if you catch my drift. *nudge* *nudge*

Best of luck to everyone in training! I hope to see ya'll out on the line soon!
Does this mean PDT has pretty F/As?

I'm really enjoying PDT thus far, seems like a good place so far. Now just gotta get through training. The Dash seems like an awesome plane.

How long is reserve now a days at PDT? Can you get your choice of base? Is there a long wait from the end of training to IOE?

We were told that reserve lasts about 3-4 months currently. They also said if you cant get your choice of base right off the bat you can get it within 3-4 months. Dont know about IOE. I guess its not too long I think I remember someone saying, but it depends really on the availability of instructors.

For IOE (we call it SOE cuz we're cooler than everyone else....cough cough) the requirement is at least 100 cycles. Some people take more but most take about that many. You'll average about 3-4 cycles per day per trip. I'll let you guys figure out the math on that one. Either way it's not that long.

SOE is not 100 cycles. At least it's not suppose to be 100 cylces...
