Piedmont to ocean city (SBY)
Heading to ocean city next week for vacation. Just wondering, is it difficult to jumpseat on the dash from PHL? Also, what is the best way to get to ocean city from SBY? I don't want to pay for a rental car all week that I won't need, is there transportation I can take to ocean city from the airport? Piedmont guys from around there feel free to chime in. Thanks in advance!

The -100's are always weight restricted so the jumpseat won't help if its a full flight. Loads are usually pretty full these days but you should be able to get on.
As far as getting to ocean city, check out Shore Transit > Home
Good Luck

You might want to also consider flying through CLT. If it is a 300 we can almost always take a jumpseater up front. I did the commute for about 4 months and most times would take the last flt from CLT if it was a 300 and not worry to much. I think I only sat up front two times.
You might also want to check out these guys to get to Ocean City Welcome to BayRunner Shuttle I know of several people who use them from BWI to get to SBY. They might be willing to take you down to Ocean City.
As for where the airport is located, its about 2 miles east of the town of Salisbury, MD. I think it was about 30-45 minutes to Ocean City. It took me 1 hr to get to Rehoboth Beach up in Delaware when I would do it.

Make sure you let the crew know you're there, especially if you're trying to get on a full -100. The gate agents aren't always forthcoming with the information when there are more passengers trying to get on, and sometimes don't even want to tell us when we specifically ask. If there are a couple of kids and few enough bags, it's rare but not unheard of for us to get 37 and a jumpseater in a -100... I did it twice this month already.
