PDT we do not have a pool when you get hired you will also be told when the next class dates are!!
And don't freak out . I look forward to flying with you in the near future. What base would be your first choice?

Actually, I would be very happy with any of the bases Piedmont has, but preferably one that had a short reserve time
...as long as it meant I could move out of NH finally!
LGA would be great (but probably too expensive to live there) so I’d probably say Salisbury.
Have any opinions about any base in particular?

Without actually putting forth the effort to look at the seniority list for each base, I would say that Syracuse and New Bern are probably the most senior FO bases. Or I guess I should say that those are probably the bases where you would sit reserve the longest as a new hire right now. But who knows, next month it could be completely different.

I am KSBY based . And yes it would be cheaper than KLGA i also know that the reserve FO's in Ksby fly quite alot because we go both north and south out of there. I drive 3hours to KSBY. But it is not a bad base i also know of one other FO that commutes to NH.
Take it easy . If you reply it will be next week before i get back to you i have 2 two day trips and an out'n'back . But like i said before best of luck in the interview.

Here's some important advice for you before you even think about applying to Piedmont; It's obvious that you're another low-time rook with "shiny-jet syndrome". If you want to build flying experience, the Dash-8 is not an airplane for you. Go to Mesa and fly an RJ that takes little to no skill to fly. Believe me, you will get in much deeper over your head on a visual approach from 2 miles out at 4000' than you will flying IMC to mins in a little jet. The top half of the Piedmont seniority list consists of 50 to 60 yr-old captains who have flown the Dash 7 & Dash 8 their whole careers-- out of choice. I know you have a lot to learn, but if your dream is to fly a fancy little RJ, start with that. Piedmont guys never make life easy for those looking to laterally move to an RJ-flying regional.

Yes, I am a low time rook, no doubt. At the same time, I dont want to fly an RJ. Call me crazy, I want the job of flying a turboprop, ripping around in the soup all the time. If I fly an RJ, so be it. But personally, I'm following the dream for a slot at a friends company flying 757/767 on international charters. They say they prefer prop driver time instead of RJ autopilot fliers.
