From: Corsair pilot wannabe
There are pilots that commute to every base, so it's not impossible. Hard to say which bases are "best", as it depends on what you prefer, and if commuting it would depend on how commutable it is. Roanoke, VA, Syracuse, and Laguardia seem to be the most commutable right now. The most senior bases are Roanoke (for the commuting reason) & Harrisburg, though that title changes rather frequently with retirements continuing at a pretty good pace....

Amos,
No Contract (deja vu)....in fact, a lot of guys leave their first year after getting their multi-turbine-121 expereince and move on to jets (not a bad deal when the alternative would be waiting that same ammount of time CFI'ing and having nothing to show except for maybe 100 hours of multi-piston and less than 1000TT)...but also, the pay is much better than comparable regionals, so it wouldn't be to bad to stay with Piedmont if need be...
but is there anyone else out there that works at Piedmont that can confirm whay I've said....

Hey Mustang!! Are you studying for the interview?
You are correct in saying that people come here instead of instructing.
We just lost another bunch of FO's in KMDT too chq/Shuttle. And i do agree with your comment on PDT not being a bad place to stay. Unless you need a jet to inflate your ego. Paid more to fly slower!!

And yes, I've been studying very hard (although its tough when the test is so broad in scope, and changes from what I hear). Anyone else out there interviewing the 9th?
Question:
Do you know for sure if they're hiring into a pool or if there is a class coming up?
Thanks again!
