So, this is just for rumors floating around the different Wholly Owned carriers. Lets talk rumors and see who is closer when it's all said and done.

That's a lot of training cycles and maintenance by moving airplanes from one company to another. I think they will eventually have one regional carrier. They have others to whipsaw against and they have no need for all the redundancy.

Management said it would only save them around $2 million, which wasn'tenough to justify the hassle. The signing bonus for the Piedmont pilots new contract was less than .5 million after taxes. (replacing a 13 year old concessionary contract). Welcome to the suck. . .
If the wholly owned's stick around, Piedmont will grow first since they are one of the lowest paid, cheapest operators. Then PSA will be pitted against Eagle. I'm guessing Eagle will shrink, and PSA will grow, depending on how much more Eagle gives up with the new offer being thrown their way. The only other wildcard will be staffing issues. This might force downsizing and consolidation between the wholly owned's. Good luck to everyone!

Piedmont is the lowest paid? Not according to my paychecks and my friends at the other regionals.
Eagle gets restructured to a true regional working primarily the south central. Piedmont gets mostly the east coast. Trans State works the north central. PSA moves to the southwest and west coast.
