140-160k at a regional?? I know US Airways capts that make that much and they've been there 20 plus years. No wonder Parker wants concession. Don't get me wrong. If you have put that many years with a company, then you deserve every penny of that. But you know the name of the game.
I've always taken the view that the more airline X makes the better for all pilots. And vise versa.
A lot of the money is in the rules and I just want the next gen to be very aware it is more than comparing pay scales on APC
The top guy at Eagle that I know of made 165k. No one believed him so he carried around his W2s. I'm not saying that is typical by any means. Just saying you can't always compare dollar payscales.

I'm not basing any of the pay scales on first year FO pay. That would be awfully near-sighted. Especially since Piedmont and Eagle have pretty top-heavy seniority lists. Try comparing 20 year CA pay between those two; $77 vs $102? Like I said, Piedmont is significantly less paid, and cheaper to operate.

us airways pilots are or have gotten a 40% pay increase to equal AA pilots and they are getting a 16% pay raise next year, so to low paid us airways pilot will be no more. the e190 will go from 95 to 125 first year pay at the new AA so the numbers gap will be increasing between regional and mainline.

Their huge bump in pay went into effect this past February I think. They will receive retro pay when the merger completes in the third quarter. It's literally life changing amount difference. I think those 60-62 year old guys will stick around til 65 due to the pay raise.
