Default LASIK in the Orlando area.

I’m considering getting it done here soon and was wondering if anyone here have ever used Hunter Vision in Maitland? All the reviews are great but none from pilots. If anyone who’s been there can pm their review or just write it here that would be great!

Thank you.

Default LASIK USUALLY has a good result...

But don’t doubt for a minute you are playing a game of “you bet your wings”.

I personally know of two people who never got back to class 1 standards after LASIK.

one got a Special Issuance, one didn’t.

Default Also worth reading...

And realize when you read the medications for neuropathic pain, that pretty much none of them are FAA approvable.

I took the chance and had PRK done in 2015. I had a well respected doctor in the Pittsburgh area do it and I was pleased with the results. I was seeing 20/20/15 within about 3 weeks of having it done. Over the last few years my vision has gotten slightly worse but can still pass a class 1 medical, but I have a feeling not for much longer. I could easily have a touch up done but it’s not a risk I’m willing to take again. My best advice if you go through with it would be to find the best doctor you can find to do it, and pay whatever it cost. Mine was pretty expensive, but it can make a huge difference in the results especially if you have any type of abnormality(my case). Take this with a grain of salt, but I lived in the MCO area for a while, and what little I saw of the health care field there I would not be having a procedure like this done in that area personally.
