Default photochromatic lenses

I'm considering getting glasses to fly with to replace my contacts. I'm looking at the transitions gen8, Hoya Sensity and Zeiss PhotoFusion. I've read that even the most advanced lenses will not darken when inside of a car. Does anyone here have any experience flying with photochromatic lenses? Do they darken when inside the cockpit?
