Default DTW AMEs

Any recommendations for an AME by the DTW area?
I'm currently in Ann Arbor but wouldn't mind driving elsewhere for a reputable AME. Price? Accepts insurance? (1st class)

Thanks guys.

Dr Gordon up in Plymouth - took over AME duties from Doc Ross. You can even self-schedule at:

Turbo Schedule

Flight Physicals and Immigration work are pretty much all he does.

If you don't mind driving into downtown for a $35 first class I'd suggest Dr. Bernard Alper of the Alsan Medical Clinic. It's on Gratiot between downtown and Detroit City Airport (Insert Kwame Kilpatrick joke here.)

Seriously though, I went there for 20+ medicals and the price has stayed the same.

Awesome, that's exactly what I need. I'll look into it, thanks.

Wanted to revive this thread one more time. Ive been told Dr. Gordon is very thorough, doesn't miss a thing and doesn't let anything go. Can someone PM me with a doc in the area that maybe is a little more relaxed shall we say? My very relaxed doc just retired which really ruined my day. Thanks

so what you are saying is that you dont think you can pass an FAA physical given to the already lax standards that we have....

Negative, just saying if given a choice I would rather go to a doc who is relaxed.
