Default DTW Commuters

has anyone found a cheaper place to park than $6 a day at DTW? There used to be quite a few places that were real cheap, but I can't find any anymore. A good amount of my per diem is going to parking and its getting pretty steep. thanks in advance for any info.

If your airlines overnights there, talk to the hotel and see if they will let you park there. Other than that, is sucks to park at DTW.

Check with Wayne County/Airport. Don't know how much it is now, but it used to work out to be around $45/month. You pay the full year up front, and if you leave before the year is up, you get the unused months back.

If you use the Comfort Inn just north of the field every once in awhile, they are very good at letting you leave your car there.

I used to use QuikPark, with the red vans. Park as usual, ride their vans in and out. When you leave, provide employer and badge number and it dropped to around $3 a day. I know they did this at least until March of '07 when I left Kalitta. A 17 day tour would cost me around $50 in parking.

Good luck

I parked at the Clarion. Call the manager and tell them you work for Compass. I don't recall them checking.

They want you to turn in your keys each time in case they need to move your car (for snow removal, etc.).

It's $55 a month now ($550 a year up front) and doesn't even include KY! Bend over!

Flint. Flat rate $20 a month employee pass. Direct flights to DTW, MSP, ATL, ORD, DFW, MKE, CLE, LGA. I started going up there about a year ago and never looked back.
