Disregard anyone advising you to wait to control this problem. They don't know what they're talking about. Get this under control...NOW...or risk stroke, heart attack, kidney problems, etc.

If treated, you will get/keep your medical under normal issuance and with a minimal amount of extra paperwork/hassle. Follow all the other good diet and exercise advice...but control this now!
Amen - Indy. Yes listen to your Doctor and go on meds! Then you can work on the diet and exercise after stabilized. I've been on BP medicine for 5 years or so, it was a non event when I got my medical then. My AME told me to bring my medicine with a current blood workup to send in the first time. Now its PRNC.
