Eating healthy while traveling

Hi all. As we all know, eating healthy while traveling can be a struggle. The terminals typically don't offer anything delicious and nutritious. I like to exercise and eat/feel healthy especially after long hours in flight. How do you all eat and stay healthy while traveling?

Pack your own meals (tough without all day refrigeration but things like salads and almond butter sandwiches will keep ok).

Try working internationally while being a vegetarian. .. it can be really tough. At times I feel like giving up!

You're not the only one. You can always find ways to eat veggie -- unless your crew wants to go to one of those South American meat-orgies, then quietly do your own thing.

Indian, Thai, Lebanese, Italian: the less American, the more likely you'll find meatless options.

Keep the faith.

Hotel room workouts. Like p90x or tapout. I dont bring the dvds, just do those kinds of workouts. Can always fit bands in my bag. Joggin is always an option. As for food, lots of convience stores sell fruit. Grocery stores i find, usually have a salad bar or at the very least fresh fruit and veggies i can eat on there own. Otherwise I just eat smart. Since for the most oart, making my iwn food is out of the question. Unless i can bring it with. For day trips, even two days. Its doable.
Personally i try and find a asian/oriental food joint to get a mixed vegetable and chicken or beer stir fry or meal of some kind. Avoiding most salty, unhealthy thick sauces.

I carry a apples and/or oranges, plus cliff bars and a bag of almonds.

Sometimes that's all I eat for days.

Beer makes it all taste better.

I carry fruit pouches called "GoGo Squeeze" they're about $3 for a package of 4 and come in different fruit mix varieties, favorite is Apple-Mango-Pineapple. Do an internet search for them, I have at least one of those a day as a snack. They're also customs friendly, and will not spoil on a trip. I think it's a good choice. Chipotle and those type places have vegetarian options so I usually go for that sometimes.

Like others have said, pack your own food. Intl' ops may restrict you from doing this completely. There may be certain things that you can bring & certain things that you can't and may have to go to a grocery store to supplement what you couldn't pack.
All in all, it is doable.
