Choosing a base...commute vs reserve?
Planning on commuting from my home. No bases within driving distance, but airport near me has several non-stops per day to Charlotte, at least one to DCA, and one to PHL. Want a short reserve time but not crazy about a two leg commute to Dayton or CVG. Any recommendations. PHL is furthest distance from me and concerned about crashpad cost in DC area. Any recommendations?

JS roll aboards are gate checked, and returned at the destination at the gate, just like any other pax in the back. Ask for a reg tag from the gate agent (they'll be handing them to everyone anyway) and be on your way.

Depends. If you're in the back and boarding early you'll be fine to carry it on. If I know I'll be up front I'll usually gate check because I don't want to rearrange their space all that much. Some guys think differently.
On mainline it's a pink tag that you'll get from the gate agents.
