Quote: I still think that vaccine mandates will be the next major step before another lock down. Plus the current administration is running on beating the virus, so I imagine that allowing more lock downs would be too close to an admission of failure.
Regardless of facts, people are generally very easily manipulated by media. And media has an interest in the highest ratings they can possibly get for advertising dollars.

I like to get my news from Babylon bee, the onion, and either the printer or compass card.

Has anyone been hired by PSA, and only given 48 hours to sign the agreements? I asked them for a week and they said no. Between work, and my lawyer not being able to see it until today, I'm not sure I'll be able to agree to everything. Also if I sign it and end up not taking the job, do I owe them anything

That kinda depends on what you're signing for...

Only sign legal agreements that you actually agree with, or are ok with.

It's payment for training/CTP course mostly

I guess they pay ATP directly I think, so do they do it within same day that I sign it, or sometime before my actual training date.
Just seemed weird.
I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that I mentioned I've interviewed elsewhere.
Last time, pre pandemic, they didn't have me sign anything until my actual training date.

That's an agreement directly between you and the company, so it would really depend on the language within that particular contract. If you feel pressured by it, you certainly aren't forced to agree to it. Not saying what you should do, just trying to explain that it's not something that most PSA pilots would have any clue about.

Not quite sure what the new language is but when I went through two plus years ago the contract was broken down into two.

ATP/CTP plus first part of the bonus (don't know if they are still doing a bonus) in return for a 1 year commitment. If you bailed within 1 year you are on the hook for the atp/ctp costs, software and hotels provided during training (the hotels doing the atp in dallas not Dayton when you are in indoc) as well as the bonus. Non-pro rated. Once you hit the year mark you received the second half of the bonus (again do not know if they are offering one) for another 1 year commitment non pro rated.
