There’s no reserving the jumpseat. You list as nonrev and if needed the jumpseat is assigned by seniority

Time of check in, not seniority.

Sorry - yes. Among people with the same category (eg psa pilots) it is time of checkin. Between a psa pilot, mainline pilot and offline there is a pecking order

Does anyone have info on commuter hotels in Charlotte that do airline rates, or at least decent prices? I have four nights I'll have to cover in May due to requal training/Ground School/Checkride, and I'm trying not to break the bank.

Better yet, anyone had luck getting the company to provide a hotel for training if you're based there and commute? I have in the past, but the Training Department is shutting me down at this time.

Any timely help is appreciated.

Just saw this thread. Hopefully not too late. Best Western Stirling has crew rates. About $57 incl taxes. Their shuttle runs from 0600 to about 2230-2300 and services the AA CLT training centre as well as the airport. Plenty of places to eat near the hotel within in a few minutes walk.
