PSA or CommutAir

What are your basing preferences?
It would be the equivalent of buying a used car right now, with high miles, old interior, a contract with a high interest rate, worn tires and waiting until next pay day to buy the car on the lot across the street with lower miles, better interior, better contract with a lower interest rate and new tires.
Neither one of them are the luxury car that you ultimately want, but one you will probably be happier in and will have a higher trade in value.

if you're in your early to mid 20's I'd go with PSA and get your 121 jet time up and look for the upgrade as soon as your seniority allows. the sooner you get started the better. I'd ignore the mudslingers. 99% of pilots complain about everything and anything blaming others for their problems no matter who they fly for. Then keep your resume up to date at the legacy carriers. Another option is the military if you can get in their flight training. What ever you do don't make the regionals a career choice. your goal should be get in, get out. None of the regionals want you to stay around for more than 10 years anyway. No matter what, aviation sucks till you get enough seniority to have control over your schedule and avoid a furlough. If i was smart I would have learned to play the piano and worked at a "ranch" in the Reno suburbs instead of learning to fly airplanes.
