I agree if we park 200s to bring 700/900s online. What I am saying is if we have to park airplanes do to not having enough pilots to staff in the future. That would be a reduction in flying. I mean the list has been shrinking since the spring.

I suspect the remaining 35 Envoy 700s will come in the form of a direct one for one replacement of 200s. We have 35 200s, and Envoy has 35 more 700s

It will take all of 2016 and probably into the beginning of 2017 to staff and take on all of the 24 new 900s. Some people claim management told them 200s leases don't expire tell 2019 or later. I've read AAG SEC reports which indicate leases on the 200s starting to expire in 2017. This is during the same projected time frame when the remaining Envoy 700s are supposed to arrive.

The only net growth will probably come from the remaining few Envoy 700s (about 4-5) and the 24 new 900s.

^^^^This sounds much more factual and realistic. Guess that means only a new growth of 300 more pilots. In that case you guys just went from hiring the bottom third of your list to the bottom fifth. I am sure there will be lots of new hires who want in on this deal. "Hey come to PSA and help us finish out the bottom of our seniority list. We have no current bonus, no flow, low pay, SAP is broken, BUT, the CRJ 900's sure are new!"

Maybe that can be your next new recruiting poster PSAJOBS.

Well Express Jet and SkyWest each have more pilots than JetBlue and Alaska. Republic and Envoy both have more pilots than Frontier, Virgin, Spirit, and Allegiant. I would define a major regional as someone who flies 50-76 seat jets all over the United States on flights that are sometimes 4 hours long, into the same airports that all the "Major Airlines" fly into. Regardless, PSA with DAY, TYS, and CLT has some of the worst bases not only for living but for commuting as well.

Regional is contradictory let alone Major Regional. We should stop referring to them as regionals and more appropriately as "Contract Carriers".

Sure man, call it whatever you want. My point to Mr Dog wasn't what to call it, just that the PSA bases are among the worst in the industry.
