Regional hopping is very dumb. You don't leave a 20k job for another 20k to start at the bottom. I'm a 7.5 year FO (*sigh) at ASA and the advice I give to all my prospective friends trying for regional jobs is this: Pick one that has a decent future, contract, and pay, (and hopefully live in base). Because if the age goes to 67 or any # of US/economic disasters happen, you will be stuck at that regional, so make one you won't be miserable at. The only regionals worth anything right now (as much as I hate to say it) are ExpressJet, Skywest, Horizon, Compass, and Air Whiskey. All the rest are bantha fodder!
and FYI, Yes, i'm frustrated at ASA without upgrading, but I get 16-18 days off, any pick of trips I want, make ~60k/year on the CRJ200, 3 weeks vacation bid over 6 months, so last 6 months of year I barely work, good 401k full match, medical benefits, 100%DH pay, 100% cancel pay, and many other decent contract perks. Mesa, PSA, Gojet, Endeavor, TSA can't match anything near the QOL I get. Something to think about guys/gals (although I'd personally pick Skywest, way better bases)
Oh and supposedly I'm very well respected and majors LOVE XJT FOs....which I have yet to experience.....

They very likely will slow the delivery of the CR7's to allow PSA to catch up on the training and staffing issue. This would mean upgrades at Envoy start sooner, and we would stop shrinking. The new 175's would begin arriving and we'd have them as replacements when the CR7's did start moving over again. It would also let AAG keep their planes in the air instead of parked on the ground. That's actually a win for everybody.
If AAG's program works as planned at Envoy - and it has been so far - then yes, a new hire here today should be at AA in under 6 years. That is a great insurance policy to have as a backup plan in case you don't go through the front door someplace else. Nobody else has that.
As of yesterday, Envoy now has the best hotels and commuting policy in the regional industry too.
Yep, it's a good time to be an Envoy pilot.

True. We did 66% of new hires recently too.
I think they just get their 4. It also has language that could allow them to stop the interviews if they have staffing issues. They have a true up clause, but it still costs those guys lost seniority while they wait to be trued up. This is a big reason their MEC wanted to steal pilots with the jets; to avoid the staffing issue. It also makes it very hard to beg for a real flow when you have staffing issues.

I forget, how long does the flow at Envoy take today? I think you made a typo when you said under 6 years, if I'm not mistaken, it takes 16 today.

No.
While the SSP language is weak, at best, there is nothing that says they can stop taking the 4 due to staffing. They can delay them until December of the current year, which is also not good, but they cannot outright stop taking the 4/month.
I can definitely see your above scenario happening.
What is your new hotel/commuter policy? It's better than Commutair?

Seriously ?
I've not run into a single present Envoy pilot that says this. Not one. In fact, they all (with the exception of 2 senior lifers I know) are either in the process of bailing or would like to. The lifers say this place is nowhere near like it used to be, but since they dodge most of the crap and are milking it out to the end, they tolerate it.
You make it sound like it's all pointy hats and noisemakers over there.

Actually, believe it or not, Envoy guys/gals are great towards us. they hate Mesa. Mesa is ******ing everything up in DFW, always cancels, maintenance, and I believe 18% on time. Don't know how they are keeping those 900s.
