Upgrades will mostly happen in seniority order at this point. There are enough FOs on property with the hours to fill any future upgrades and the ones without the hours will be there soon.

Based on there presently being approximately 580 FOs and so far 4 upgrades this year that puts the upgrade times around 5 years. Currently at PSA more pilots are resigning than are being hired and of those resigning probably half are FOs. (pure speculation)

Most of us here at PSA are updating our resumes and looking at other options while we wait to see if our management and AAG are going to do anything to stop this downhill slide. If they offer an endeavor type retention program and contractual improvements then upgrades could be back under 2 years in a short time, if not PSA will most likely be the next republic.

Choose wisely

Could a wholly owned company really pull a Republic?

My friend went. Basically if we can't staff the flying Will be shifted. AAG only cares about efficiency. Flying is favored to be within the wholly owned regionals. 200 carriers doesn't look promising.

Yes thank you for the informative update. I am glad I did not attend.

If PSA does not pay up then the planes will not be staffed. You all know the drill. Some old stuff I guess.

So what is AA going to do to make PSA attractive to a new hire?

YNWA1892 03-17-2016 10:43 AM

Word from some one that was there is that they would like up the flow but can't because we won't be able to staff the planes. CAs won't be getting retention bonuses because it doesn't make good business sense. The company will see if their bonus programs work and if not they will do what they need to do to attract new hires. Also Doug apparently made a point tjat he only cares about how cheap the wholly owns are and giving them more money won't make them cheap. Good thing we turned down those bonuses...
