Two large? There was one large class of 30. That's it.

And every single class after that has been 4 or less... nice one ALPA

Didn't the class of 30 get postponed till after the New Years? At least that was my understanding

The class of 30 upgrades counts towards increasing the flow numbers, don't know why some of you think they don't. Email your rep if you don't believe it.

It counts. Once they finish Supervised line flying then they will be "active captains"

What are you even talking about? Who is blaming ALPA for anything? I think most here have been happy with the improvements voted in with the last TA and with the original contract that brought the 900s on board. And yet somehow, no damage was done to the industry. Look at all the pilot groups making huge gains right now. And yet you people still love to come over here and beat that same little tired drum you love to beat.

I think he's saying this last deal created a conflict of interest for mgnt to upgrade more pilots. The more they upgrade the more will flow making their problems worse, so the fix is to, more than ever, upgrade as few as possible. The flow is not a recruiting tool, it is a retention tool. I haven't talked to a single captain that's been here longer than two years that is even considering leaving.
