It's a stark reality of corporate America and health insurance in general. I am overseas at the moment, and I have full coverage (100%) for everything except dental and I pay no premiums at all for family coverage. All prescriptions are paid for with no copay.
I have previously never had to wait for coverage as a previous poster stated.

That's pilots only cause it's in the CBA. I'm not sure what other Delta employees have. It's not uncommon to have a 1st of the month following 30 days of employment clause for most companies. CAL used to be 6 months at one point. 30 days is enough to backdate COBRA if you get seriously hurt.
