Default Shopping for Regional Work

I hope that I don't get bashed on this post but I have to ask. I am looking to move on to regional work here in the near future and I am getting a headache look at all of there income statements and RFP winnings and to say it quite frankly its frustrating. Now I have been push a King Air 200 around for sometime now and honestly looking for turbojet action...just for something different in my life. My major concerns are job security and QQL...I was looking at XJT for awhile but now they make me nervous because of there new ventures, Pinnacle's hiring guys with 280TT and a spit full of ME which tells me what kind of company they are and purchasing Colgan for next to nothing, ASA is closing their base in LAX (AHHHHHH!!!!!). Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go? Or how to make a good decision in this process? Also, is it true that fast upgrade times are generally a bad indication of an airline not doing so well? I appreciate good comments and open discussion.

For somebody with my time, TSA's a great place to be right now. With your time, however, you're better off looking at SKW to scratch that jet itch.

Have you considered applying to a fractional?

Yeah but where my wife and I plan on moving there is no base from a fractional so my only option is a regional...by the way moving to MSP

You know, just because Pinnacle is hiring 280 hour guys, doesn't mean they're a bad company or that they're any less of a company than Skywest.

Mesaba has a MSP base.

Pinnacle is a good company. And if your wife is a doctor, what more do you need?

Is this hiring through a bridge program or are these the actual minimums?
