Will SkyWest and ASA merge?
#11
a far better outcome with a union yes, but that would be years down the road after some extensive negotiations about combining the lists. having a real contract would be nice too, instead of "policy." if the skw alpa vote happens, most of the new guys will vote no out of fear of losing seniority to ASA. thats a fact, theres no hiding that. and its true that there are a lot of lifers at both companies, and they would be better off with alpa. but the majority of us are using it to get our time and move on up out of there anyway, and we wont be around long enough to see the merger actually happen. whether it would be as complicated as whats going on at usairways i dont know, maybe you can shed light on that, but it will take years.
