So wait to start end of 3rd quarter ‘18 and finish mid ‘19 because you’re a Florida resident? Waiting almost 2 years to hit the line and putting your career on hold doesn’t make much sense either. Go with the company that can get you going- re evaluate after you’re qualified and flying the line. There are plenty of companies with bases in Florida, and you can start applying for them as soon as you’re qualified. Piedmont has plenty of commuters from Florida but no one says you’ve got to commute to a regional forever.

I'd keep trying. The programs are popular with all the airlines and they are busy. If possible, look on their web pages to see if their is a recruiting event near you that you can get to. In my case, they had one in Crystal City (back in January) and I was able to interview there. Not all recruiting events have interviews, but if they do, they tend to be pretty easy to get scheduled.

I've already tried calling and emailing both. Of course calling, yes that's very slim chance of getting anyone but I have sent an email or 2. Yes, I'm deff within 90 days of availability. I am going to continue to try. Just wanted to get some more information specifically about the programs before doing the app. I will say Envoy was really good about that.

Things are much better now.
About 4.5-5 years ago I decided the heck with it, I was going to be full time pilot somewhere. Didn't matter rotor or fixed wing. I had over 1.4K hours rotor, but not enough I felt to be competitive flying med as was then and mostly still mow, most places want over 2K hours of rotor just to hand in a resume. I was maxing out the number of hours per year that Army would give me but I didn't want to go broke renting a helicopter to get hours so I focused on fixed wing hours. Ended up getting my multi-engine ATP, prior to the changes requiring sim time.
I started sending out my resume to most of the regionals on airline apps.com. I got a call from one regional who obviously didn't really read my resume, as once I explained that the majority of my hours were helicopter, but that I had all the required fix hours and ratings, they politely wished me good luck and told me that they hire helicopter pilots. Similar response from another regional I was really interested. That recruiter basically told me to get another 1K hours flight instructing or something, or go out and get a type rating which would show that I could handle a large aircraft.
With a deployment on the horizon, I decided I would wait and save up funds while deployed and try again.
Fortunately while I was deployed the industry changed, everyone started hiring and pay rates started increasing. When I returned from my deployment, my same resume which had been ignored prior was now suddenly desirable. Literally one of the first phone calls I received upon getting back to the states was from a recruiter, and I'm now enjoying life as a first officer.
Recommendation, if you haven't already start a logbook for your rotorwing hours. I was just using my DA759 to show my hours, and some FAA or pilot recruiters don't know to read or understand a 759. Be sure to note flights that exceed 50 miles as cross country time. If you can afford to get your fixed wing ratings yourself, just about any regional will now be excited to talk to a military rotor pilot.
