Default Regionsair shut down

Regionsair, which provides American Connection service in STL and a few flights in West Virginia, has been shut down for the second time in a week. Something to do with paperwork concerning check airmen.
Does anyone who works there have any insight? Is the airline done for good?
It sounds like the airline has been having a tough time - cancelled flights galore.

Continental is making it sound like they are done for good, but that is not confirmed or anything.

They only mention the flights to Illinois. Are the flights in MO still going? I think they also fly to Cape Giradeau and Kirksville.

I thought it was something like the check airman for the Jetstreams was not legal. I heard that just the Jetstream side was shut down for something like 90 days and were then allowed to re-open. The problem is, they will never be able to make it through that and will end up shutting down.

Take this with a grain of salt. This was all third hand information.

i think that the feds have had a hard on for them since that crash couple o years ago. From what I understand, it was just a matter of time. I've run into some of their crews in STL...........not that I am a judge of humanity, but......well I'll just keep my comments to myself. Although, them shutting down is a shame, since they are what a "regional" actually SHOULD be. I know, I know, how many times can I beat a dead horse

Unfortunately, it does look like RegionsAir is done for good; it’s too bad as they had a bunch of great employees there. Very proud of once having been a member of that pilot group - wish them all the very best!

Then why mention anything at all?
