More BS mis-information about the safety thing! It's no worse than anywhere else. And that is coming from guys I talk to anywhere else!
Stay away from the Dash Captain thing, the Dashs in JFK are going away. Replaced with ERJ's from Dullas. You will end up junior and only able to hold Dash FO on the west coast.
The 1900 will get you street captain. Call airmidwest Directly, PM me for the #.
That program may be sold to Big Sky, only a rumor but it seems to have some teeth for a change. I will say this you will be reserve for quite a while as the street captains in my class have learned. 15% of your shifts will be in the right seat. Most likely MCI for right now.
