Default CRJ questions

Hey looks like I will probably be flying the CRJ for Republic. Anybody got any advice on where they train for it, what the best luggage and flight kit to carry is and if its smart to get your own headset. Thanks!

site for RJ intro- www.crj2.com
travel bag- purty neat at www.stopoverstore.com
Flight case- up to you but look at those at www.stopoverstore.com or you can just get a chart case at www.officemacx.com. i spent all of $60 shipped and its held up great (only 6 months into the RJ)
headet- ebay your way to a telex 850, thats about top of the line. I got mine for $375 and coming from a bose in GA flying its great. The 750 is cheaper but is not ANR. I see vision/hearing as important so you just need to decide if its worth the extra $$ to ya.

beyond that- CONGRATS!

I've heard they are sending folks to CAE Denver. Its a nice facility; AWAC used to do its CRJ training there. I highly recommend Buffalo Ted's across the street for lunch.

I have the PNT 737 Stealth rollaboard and a PNT Split Grain Leather flight case. The PNT bag is a tank and is well worth the money, and if I had it to do over again, I'd have spent the extra $100 and gotten a Smith flight case.

I got a Sennheiser KA-25 off eBay for less than $300 and it works GREAT! Mine does use batteries though, so I keep a very small charger and 4 nicads in my flight case. I can get through a long 4-day trip on a single set of batteries.

The officemax flight case is awesome. It got the crap beat out of it on the 1900 and now I use it in the CRJ. Holds up great and 60.00

The officemax one is not leather, but still holds up.
