They probably will first drop the mins to ATP, although I think they already put them at 1800. Then just move to street captains. Someone has to do the flying.

The vast majority of CAs at AWAC with an employee number under 8000 have their stuff out, and a few above 8000 have too if they were being honest...

If that is *really* the case they should be losing 10-20 CA's a month. With no upgrades in 6 months I find that hard to believe. The majority of the CA's are either a) too lazy to leave or b) don't want to because they have financial responsibilites that force them to stay there.

Look at Pinnacle's upgrade time. They have almost twice the number of aircraft but yet their upgrade is <2 years. Hmmm....

Short answer to the question no the existing P will not be downgraded.... The senior FO will just have to put his or her bid in and wait for another vacancy to roll around..... but one upgraded the senior FO will get priority on schedule and line bidding over the existing P. Once you are a CA you remain a CA.... To answer BoilerUP's comment about displacements.... We almost did have a displacement back in October 05 when we lost the 15 a/c. but with attrition and staffing shortages it proved unnecessary... So in theroy as long as the fleet size remains constant or grows no displacements are not required and most likely will not occur......
