Default pinnacle upgrade update

Upgrade is now at 1 year and 5 months. It will drop lower with each vacancy. I expect that if you have the 3000 hours required it will reach 5-10months by the end of 2007

Why is this? Attrition? Jets coming back? (Aren't the 15 all back now?)

How many F/Os leave per month? How about captains, how many of those guys leave / month?

And lastly, what kind of new hire pilot hiring have you seen at PNCL? Is it true they are running 2 classes per month of 30 pilots each (60 pilots per month)?

Thanks!

I dont think this conference call will be much, just internal stuff discussing staffing issues, pref bid, and hiring updates. I am not expecting any major announcement of any type today but I guess we will see.

We lose about 1 pilot a day, bit more CA side than FO. Too many cancelled flight this month just because no CA to staff. Reserve CA expect to fly 90+ block each month, lineholder expect to be extended, JM, re-assigned... you name it.

NWA stuffed those 15 parked CRJ in a matter of weeks, and expect us to staff it, and therefore all these numbers, compounded with stalled negotiations, people are just so fed up that they'd take any offer that comes along. Latest news is that mgmt finally willing to talk to us, and hopefully it'll speed things up, maybe even get a contract by the turn of this decade.

So would you say hiring of about 50-60 pilots a month is realistic for the rest of 2007?

And when are the other two CRJs coming back (on top of the 15 already back)? I believe those two CRJs will come one from Mesaba, and one from Compass?

Is that true?

we will upgrade 32-40 capts per month all year. 50-60 new hires (if they can fill the classes) indefinitely. I don't see hiring stoping here until like 2014.
There have been TA's on scheduliing and hours of service. Pay is next week in negotiations.
We may very well have a ta by march 31st.
that is the only good news out of that sonference call.

PinnacleFO - I thought you were close to upgrade, or did you upgrade already?

The upgrade is a hard 3000tt, or is there some sort of credit-per-hour for the company on that?
