Does anyone else see a problem here??? Lower than GoJet. We can talk about unions all we want, and how some people want Skywest to get a union, but Colgan needs one, and about $10/hr added to their pay rates.
Ouch! Flying those planes at those rates is an insult. Horizon pays $65 first-year pay for the Q400. I don't care if it's a prop or not, those Dash's take a helluva lot more piloting skill than any RJ out there. Take an RJ guy, put him back in a turbo-prop like this one, and it's learning to really "pilot a plane" all over again. These pay rates are absurd.....

What.. Where did you get that from. Its $28.52. It doesnt matter what you fly at Horizon. All FO's get paid the same rate.

Anybody at 9E wanna speculate on the new FO payrates?

I applied there in 2005 in hopes of getting lots of IND overnights, got an email to set up an interview the same day NWA declared bankruptcy, and never heard anything from them after that day.

You guys hauled my sorry butt IND to PHL/DCA many times, and I'm thankful for that...but I remember having one of your FOs tell me I just about made more first year than he did second year, and that was depressing. Here's to a BIG raise for you right-seaters!

Im hearing about the same rumors as everyone else..... So Im guessing we might see something in the next couple weeks.... but from what I understand good progress is being made..... As for pulling the planes back well we will see if NW actually does that.. Besides we haven't gotten all of them yet anyway because I have yet to see a 9E crew boarding and operating 601XJ or 602XJ..... As for the flight cancellation fees and the lack of CA's well that's managements own damn fault since they were the ones that cancelled those vacancys last year and now the training dept. is so backed up they cant process CA's through quick enough to make up for it. Sounds to me like CS forgot the 6 P's (Prior Planning..................) and shot himself in the foot.

Not talkin' about FO pay, slick. I was showing the massive gap between the stated Colgan Q400 pay, versus that of a respected companies' pay. For a Q400 captain to accept that pay is an insult to everyone that's fought to retain what we once had in this profession. Sad is the only word to explain it.

FO's don't make that much starting at a Legacy carrier anymore...

Lets not get carried away the Q is in no way harder to fly than the Jet, its a turbo-prop, you can slow down quicker, descend quicker, its not a swept wing airplane, its not harder to fly than a jet

Are new hires going into the Q400 or are they using seniority for the FO's. And if they are using new hires, is it only until the positions are filled, then back to the Saabs or what?
