Beautiful airplane, enjoy!

I had to use IE to view the website properly... it doesn't work in Firefox for me.

FLINHI 04-08-2007 05:13 PM

I assume nobody on here interviewed on March 28th, since my post got quoted with some theory on Masaba's future.

WacoPilot 04-08-2007 05:14 PM

Did you go to mesaba.com or the nwairlink website...I tried it with IE too but no luck

starvin marvin 04-08-2007 05:23 PM

www.mesaba.com.... nwairlink.com is pinnacle. Click on employment on the left side menu. On the next page, put your mouse over employment again, and you should be able to click on "Job Postings." Once you find the FO position, scroll to the bottom where it says "Click Here to Respond," but click on the "GO" button.

When I only type in "mesaba.com," I only get the mymesaba.com login screen. YMMV.

Do you work for Mesable?

Go to mesaba.com and click on employment then hover your mouse over employment and another box should show up, if it doesn't then click on it again and see if it pops up then. Again make sure you are using IE.

EDIT: Sorry for some reason I didn't see that starvin had already answered.

cessna74 04-08-2007 06:40 PM

I am 33 years old with 1480 tt 1355 pic Comm,Mel, and Inst. I am low time in Inst and Mel . I have about 85 hours inst and about 10 hours in a twin. I would love to go to work with Mesaba.

starvin marvin 04-08-2007 06:40 PM

I've explained how to apply on the website to a few people over the last few weeks... maybe I shouldn't, it may be a way of screening applicants. (those who can/can't figure it out). ;)

They should update the website some day... I don't think it's changed in the last 5+ years. :)

Please note in the "Other Pertinent Information" section of the on-line application some text about when you plan to meet the minimums of 50 hours based on your accrual now. (i.e., let us know that you get 5 or 10 or 20 hours of ME time per month for example)

I have a couple of friends that interviewed on Thursday the 29th and one of them has heard the other has not. The one that was hired got a July 2nd class date for the saab. Good Luck!

WIFlyer 04-09-2007 04:36 AM

I was in the April 5th interview, just waiting to hear now. How long did it take for your friend to hear? They said 7-10 days but it could be earlier depending on their workload.

Thanks for the info. I still have not heard anything by phone or mail. PM me if any of your other friends get notified.

Tinpusher007 04-10-2007 02:37 PM

Well, I just got the call today and offered a July training class....no idea what a/c though.

xjsaab 04-10-2007 02:46 PM

they won't tell you which AC you will get till you get to class. There's just too many variables that could affect it.

Tinpusher007 04-10-2007 03:02 PM

Yeah, thats pretty much what they told us. But it was my first airline interview and Im glad it was a success.

xjsaab 04-10-2007 04:17 PM

Welcome aboard. Are you hoping for detroit? :)

Tinpusher007 04-10-2007 05:05 PM

Actually I think I'd prefer MSP. Any tps on working for XJ, good, bad or otherwise?

xjsaab 04-10-2007 07:08 PM

Naw no tips, come in have fun fly safe, go home kiss the dog, walk the wife...... life is good. :)

Had another friend tell me he got a call yesterday with a job offer. He interviewed late last week (Friday I believe, he's an old Shorts 360 driver with quite a bit of turbine) and told him he probably will be in the July 2nd class as well. My other friend, the one who is still waiting to hear, just called Julie and she said they were busy but they are in the process of calling candidates this week so hopefully it won't be too much longer! Good Luck!

I ended up calling Julie as well yesterday afternoon and left a message. She returned my call this morning with the same info. Thanks for keeping me posted.

Got the call this morning for the July class. I am looking forward to either plane and would like to get MEM. I heard a couple of different things as to what base is junior/senior--anyone know for sure?

Congratulations. 3/26 application to 4/11 notification. They are treating applicants fairly by working quickly. I'll let RJ85FO or one of the other experts talk about junior/senior bases. Good luck.:D

(MEM = Junior) (DTW = middle) (MSP = senior)

DITTO!!!!!! :D

aaj008 04-12-2007 03:58 PM

Are the 900's going to be based in all three bases and if yes does anyone know when they might be in mem?

Tinpusher007 04-12-2007 05:04 PM

They told us at the interview that the first 4 will be going to MSP, and then DTW and finally MEM. The majority of them will be based at DTW.

dashdriver22 04-16-2007 04:53 PM

Just got a call today, I was in the CR9 class for June and apparently they had alot of current FO's bid into it. Now they offered me the May 7th Saab class, anybody else in that position?

raress 04-16-2007 06:01 PM

Mesaba called today....interviewing on May 3rd. Can't wait!

Lone Palm 04-16-2007 06:16 PM

Yeah I just got the same thing. On the bright side you will have a higher seniority number due to an earlier class date. I think there is a may 28 class date and june 11th to choose from, but the sooner the better I guess. ;)
