Whats with MESABA?

Whats the deal with Mesaba. 36 CRJ900? and 24.00 hr starting pay. Are the furloughed pilots not coming back for the same reason ans TSA FO's? Does the company suck or are things good there because I would really love to move back to the Midwest.

We have had a rough past to put it mildly. With NWA purchasing us we will see good growth for at least the next three years. The pay is not the best but there are other good aspects of our contract that survived the CH11 lawyers. 4hour min day, 11 days off, a decent 410K match for the regional level. I do reccomend being here. Every company has its pitfalls, well except for Southwest.
Many furloughs have moved on and it's hard to give up a senority number at one place for another who already burned you. I'm glad I am here, it all depends on your needs.

All furloughed pilots have been recalled. About 98 accepted (out of 220)
The company does not suck. We took a hit in the shorts for pay and some benefits due to the bankruptcy, but we will get it all back by the end of the TA. The company used to be top notch, today, I'd say we are just better than average. Lots of new people here in scheduling and planning and such, so we all need to learn to work together again.
Like others have said, we are in growth mode as of today. There are lots of other regionals that can get you based in the midwest, so look at your options and decide what is best for your situation.
