Default Northwest & Mesaba

Today our CEO announced in a letter to employees that Mesaba has been in discussions with Northwest about NWA involvement in our reorganization. A "co-sponser" according to the letter. Goes on to say that NWA could become an owner of Mesaba. "Northwest ownership would secure our core business and, in the long run, position us for growth."

"We will keep you updated on any relevant developments in this matter."

So..., MAIR sells Mesaba to NWA. Mesaba becomes Compass. Meanwhile, MAIR grows Bigsky at industry leading low pay scales. Maybe the 36 CRJs are actually going to Bigsky and the EMB-175s will be flown by Mesaba pilots who will be Compass pilots by default.

WTF?!

I think NWA, et al. paints the tails of their airplanes red with the blood of their employees...
