[quote=mccube5;141043 The BOS domicile is opening June 8th with 8 NEW 1900's, seems like the CIN flying will be with the leased aircraft.[/quote]

They are still producing 1900's?

No, just flying them. One cannot make an airline flying 1900D's. Break even is probably around 11-13 PAX. Not sure any airline even BigSky can fill that. According to Nick, they even have a hard time getting 3-4 customers to fly.

I believe their Chalks escapade fell through too, down in FLL. FIGURES!

Well the good thing about EAS routes is you don't need many or any passengers to make money. You are right though, you can't make an airline off jsut that.

EAS routes, while they have been what Big Sky survives on, are not the only thing in the works for them. Like I said before the Delta thing is going to help grow the airline and provide some income. Ellen you still didn't say what makes you the expert??? I guess just heresay from a disgruntled employee perhaps...

No. Great Lakes is picking up the STL feeds, and Big Sky is starting CVG feeds for towns that wanted to change from STL to CVG because it has better connections.

I think some of the outstate MO towns are shifting to an Air Midwest MCI feed, but I'm not sure.

I am under the impression that the 1900D's are still in production. Looking on airliners.net it doesn't mention that production ever stopped on the aircraft. Perhaps i am incorrect in my thoughts and someone with a little more knowledge could enlighten me.
