Default TransStates Closes DC

Well, the geniuses in STL have decided to close DCA, IAD an RDU. RDU will keep a skeleton crew for charter flights but the DC bases close by the end of the year.

And, First Officer vacations have been canceled again due to staffing. FO vacations were canceled in March and now again for June with July and August cancellations possible. TSA is also slowing upgrades to 2 per month.

So, if you’re looking for a regional that closes bases, cancels vacations and has 2-3 upgrade times, TransStates is for you!

Good luck. I could have told you months ago that the AA contract wouldn't last. And with United focusing on ORD and DEN, the IAD base was on its last legs.

Ok, I’ll endulge your clairvoyance. If you lived on the East Coast and didn’t want to commute, which regional would you go to?

For DCA? PSA or RAH

If I lived in the NY region, 100% hands down Endeavor. Other than them, I'd choose an American WO'd.

All things equal, I'd choose PSA over RAH.

SkyWest is opening an LGA base. You can go there and get paid significantly less with poor work rules to boot while convinced you’re at the most superior regional known to man.

Anyone know which PSA is a junior base, reserve times and how long training time is from Day 1 to IOE?
