Heres the one I bought. I start a trip with utnfully charged, plug in my iPad and phone then site the battery up on the dash. As long as I start with then full it does a pretty good job of keeping up. The solar cells will keep it charged up as long as it doesnt drain for a long time.

Nice battery but that is pretty much what it is. That tiny solar panel would take a week to charge it up from <50%.;

Been in the biz awhile, thanks. I carry TWO bags. I’m a minimalist as well. Rollaboard and a flight deck bag...

Not always, it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. Some are mandatory as emergency only, but in some cases 1 or 2 on board simply be extra equipment in which case they could be used.
All depends on what's in your company books

This thing sitting in direct sunlight on the glareshield for any length of time looks ripe for a lithium battery fire due to overheating, especially if the battery has any defects from manufacturing.

Default Strong Bags Cooler

Just took delivery of a new Strong Bags flight crew cooler. Man does this thing rock! Definitely worth the money. Design and engineering, clearly by a pilot. Awesome recommendation. Look forward to using it on the road.

Thumbs down Stealth Air 22" bag

Crap. The Stealth Air 22" Pilot Rolling Bag with Side pockets....just arrived. My laptop does not fit in the laptop pocket. It is about 2" too short. I have a standard 14" dispaly on my laptop. Meaursing the pocket, it barely holds a 12" laptop (Depth). It also has a smaller tablet pocket, but this does me no good. I am thinking of sending this one back and getting a bag that will hold a standard laptop. Anyone have a different crew bag recommendation that would hold a laptop with a width of 14 1/4"??

You'll know several minutes ahead of the other guy if the cowl anti-ice will be required.

I wouldn't keep a laptop in there, even if it fits. There's not enough protection in that pocket to keep a laptop safe from a fall off a jetbridge or the weight of 15 other valet bags on top of it.
