I decided to go with the DC Pro without ANR. I've used them on two trips now and I like them. I can hear just fine without the ANR in the CRJ 200. They are pretty comfortable too. I paid $365 for them. The DC Pro X were $695. I bought them at Crew Outfitters cause they allow you to test them out for a trip and bring them back if you don't like them. I found them to be just fine and I will be keeping them.

Bose A20. There is nothing better end of story

This kind of statement just reeks of ignorance. Better is subjective. What makes a headset better? Comfort? Design? Technology? Build quality? Value?

I wear the DC ONE-X, which, to me, is vastly superior. Similar noise cancelation and considerably more comfortable on my head.

It's almost like different people have different needs.

The Bose are $200 more than the ONE-X, and $250 more than the Zulu 3s.

I've worn all three. The noise cancelation is comparable. The build quality is comparable. So what am I paying $200 more for? The Bose name. And to be clear, I own lots of Bose **** and love it all. It's a great headset without a doubt.

But what makes a headset the best is a very individual thing. The A20s clamp my head in a way the ONE-X doesn't.

I have one. It’s bulky, the cord/battery pack is heavy, and takes up too much room in my kit bag. It performs well, yes, but I am wishing I had gone with a uflymike or nflightmic for my QC.

I’m sorry you have a weird shaped head. But Bose customer service is worth the price of admission for an A20. I had an issue with my cord, not defective, just normal wear and tear from 5 years of use and Bose replaced my entire headset free of charge.

I understand it’s subjective from what it the so called best. But overall I just feel the A20 is a standard good choice for most pilots. To each their own though.

Just flew with a guy with a set of bose and he’s had issues with the cord and sent it back 5 times now, they refuse to replace the headset.

A fuel truck drove over my flightcase and broke my DC headset headband(not exactly normal wear and tear). They paid for overnight shipping and even replaced the microphone as well as the headband at no charge. Best customer service I've ever seen! Highly recommend any DC products.

It sure sounds to me like you don't really have much experience with the other high-end headsets. If you think Bose Customer Service is good, then you have never owned or had to use David Clark's. It's far superior.

Those Bose headset is more than fine for me (that is, I don't think my head is weirdly shaped lol), but it's just not *as* comfortable as the DCs.

The DCs also have the added plus of being far more compact when folded up.

Now that’s customer service!

In general how is the DC Pro-X? How is the noise canceling?
