Regionals hiring at 300 and 50

All of the Regionals out there are short for various reasons, but if you're worried about your flight time, go to Piedmont. It pays as well as any airline to start and you can build 121 time or wait for them to merge with PSA in about 2010. Whatever your motive, its a job, and they'll take you at whatever your flight time. There is a written assessment and a cake sim ride. Once you've passed the test and don't crash the sim, the rest is fluff. They'll take 350TT and 25-50 mt. (Reguardless of what school you went to)
It's not the best regional, it's not even the best Dash-8 operator. But it pays ok, you'll get as much flight time as you could want, and with the possible exceptions of UPS and Fed Ex, no airline is a sure thing.

Captjhan, do you work for PDT?

Ya 300 hrs gets you a 25 year pay scale and a 6 year upgrade!

No thanks

Do you have an email address to send the resume to? I have found two different ones online and do not know which one is correct.

Go to TSA, fly a jet, and upgrade in 2 years or less.

I have emailed resumes twice to TSA, and no response. Any ideas? I exceed their minimums and have a degree.

Wow way to miss the point of the thread.

You used Mesa to get you to where you are now. Why couldn't someone use Piedmont?

Of course you'd say "no thanks" to this offer - you already have a 121 job that you want to stay at. Believe it or not, there ARE people out there that aren't in your position just yet.

How's that saying go? If you don't have anything useful to say don't say it? Something like that.

You're wrong I did not go to mesa just to get "two years" in the right seat of a jet, and then move on. Would have done it in like 6-12 months... I had enough of their crap, do you think I really wanted to start all over training, first year pay, and senority. Come on! The mistake I made is that I went to the first airline that hired me, big big mistake! Don't go to a regional just because you meet their 300/50 mins flight inst. for another 4-5 months and go to a better regional, but if you want to use Piedmont/Tsa as a stepping stone go for it and really use it as a stone.

It only takes 4-5 months more to get the hours for a quality regional... you will definitely appreciate it in the long run. Not really many excuses since almost every flight school is hiring these days. Read some posts on TSA and Mesa then think about what each individual is doing to the industry and themselves in the long run.
