Saab 340 or Beech 1900?

I flew the Beech. Fun a/c but I would have killed for a 340 back then. No A/P wasn't a huge deal and my scan was never better in my life than when I was current in the 1900. Pax didn't care for it but it flew great.

What do you want to do? Go to Jet Blue?...then take the 340. Get Turbine PIC?....go where there is the fastest upgrade(probably a 1900). What pays better?... probably the 340. Have passengers compalin about propellers and the size of the airplane?...you will get that in either. Don't just choose the 340 because because it is "pretty" or because it will allow you to pick up more chicks (cause it won't). Think about where you want to end up and which plane/company will allow you to get there fastest.
For the record: I fly the 1900 and I love it, but I have also flown the E120 and I will take the Brasilia any day because of the autopilot.

Agreed, TPIC is king! I know several guys at FDX that had only 1900D time when they got hired.

Screw both of them and fly the Dash, great flight director, great autopilot, fms in some, efis is some, APU is a must. Plus is is one of the most forgiving airplanes you will ever fly.
I hear Piedmont is hiring...warm bodies. Possibly zombies too.
