Biggest thing for me is location. My fiance and I thought moving to Denver would be a good idea but we hate it here. Housing costs are out of control, too many hippies, etc. So we wanna get the hell outta here.
Unless you think you’re going to be a regional lifer for some reason, I’d recommend staying put, upgrade ASAP, and get out of the regionals all together. Making a lateral move like that is a huge gamble, particularly when another recession is looming on the horizon.

Too bad about Denver... I’m from there originally, and also left recently due to all of the reasons you mentioned. It was a great place up until five years ago.

Would going to xjt make any sense? Looks like they have growth coming plus the 175s. Bonus for me would be 27k.

Other option would be stay at OO and transfer to the CRJ for the ATL base. And not lose my 8 months of seniority for a lateral move. But that bonus money sure is tempting.

Thoughts?
RSWITZ, come on over the water is warm.

ExpressJet, has a better contract than Skywest.

ALPA protection if you make a mistake.

$2500. quarterly bonus.

Sign on bonus.

Lots of growth opportunities with United/ManaAir purchase. United is calling the shots.

Stay at SKW and budget better. You'll upgrade at SKW a lot faster than going to XJT. No bonus is worth starting over. If money is what you're worried about spring for a quick upgrade on the CRJ to DTW at SKW. Also XJT just got sold to UA, so who knows how that's actually going to pan out.

ATL Captain at OO is 2 years.(just awarded).. considering XJT no longer has a ATL base. You may. Want to wait another year. Or make the jump right now before 500 people get there before you... Chasing bonus money is never a good idea. Look long run...

TYS is an E145 base and very senior. I don’t believe it’ll be so difficult to get within a year or so. However, I’d expect longer upgrade times.

Junior FO there is a 12/17 hire.
