Ummm.. yeah we're not the ones walking through the terminal, refusing to smile at others because we think we're "AA mainline." If you think AAG won't spank y'all in 5 seconds, you're mistaken LOL.

Bro we fly the oldest, most broken jets out there. We have the worst schedules, and worst pay in the industry. We aren't not smiling because we think we're better than you. We're not smiling because we work at piedmont and probably just got extended into day seven. And how much more of a spanking could they really give us lol.

Trust me, we aren't the ones with the superiority complex

267 hours credit a month...? That's $11,214 on FO pay, $17,355 on third year CA pay A MONTH.

Also, that's twelve days of working on a scheduled day off (if the line was worth 75 hours. Eleven if it was worth anything else). I call BS. This isn't even possible with 117

Very possible. I was 6 on 1 off. At the end of a 4 day I’d call and see what needed covered. They’d give me triple to go into a couple 3x days. So I was getting triple for days I was already scheduled to work. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...047878b26a.jpg

Now do the other two months.

Still short of what you would need for 800 hours in three months, and that's just one month (presumably your best month). Still, awesome work and I'm glad to see people getting what they're worth out of this place. Seems like they really are trying to avoid giving triple for a day where you're already working these days. They've gotta be desperate to approve it. Don't know how that saves them any money but whatever.

I find it funny that they even post standard and double. But I guess guys actually do it...

Haha. We had wayyyy more leniency the last couple years. The stuff I was pulling with scheduling doesn’t work as well now. I’m still able to pick up quite a bit, but only getting to 150 ish credit. Hopefully, this summer allows for some of last years desperation and I can make another 45-50k!

Oh I know, I used to gouge them for all they were worth. They've cut back in a huge way and I hope they pay for it. I still try, but it's definitely harder. Just gotta know when they really need you and take what ya can

OpMidClimax 02-26-2019 05:05 PM

On the last year of the dash I was averaging 180 hours a month... but i killed myself.

Now I just take myself to 100 to 115 and call it a day... my time off is too important to play the game with scheduling.. it's exhausting.. if they just posted everything triple at the beginning of the month and I could plan accordingly id be included to work a little bit more, but than again dropping below 11 off is painful.

LOL, yeah I believe this. We know PDT doesn't fall in this boat. Sadly, your WO colleagues tend to.. since y'all wear the same wings and uniforms, it's hard to tell apart. My apologies, I should've clarified.

Do you guys ever wonder what not picking up any premium may have done to the company when they were so short staffed? Maybe you would have that pay raise by now. Instead a handful of you helped the company put band aids on the situation instead of fixing the root problem.

Who are referring to, PSA or Piedmont? If what you are suggesting is organized in any manner, it would be considered an illegal job action. PSA's pilot group was threatened with a lawsuit recently for a joking comment made on social media. So your idea would pretty much be futile.

I would however like to have seen them apply that lawsuit, the financial penalty applied to each pilot on property and any future pilot would have killed recruiting, and accelerated attrition. They would have shot themselves in the foot, and probably killed the airline by their own hand.

Unfortunately, many people have families, student loans, illness, debt and desires.. if someone wants to ***** themself out whatever.... it's their business. That being said we all have a price to suck a banana...

Right now every piedmont pilot is taking it up the kuester in the name of a flow...

Until there is attrition at pdt there will never be a pay raise.. I also believe our next contract negotiations will occur during the next recession and therefore don't expect much.

Man, I wish some of these topics you bring up would’ve been disussed prior to your arrival at piedmont. Ground breaking ideas, I tell ya. You should volunteer at the union, def have a lot of insight about how things should be done with all of your regional experience.

Plus, then he'd be able to express his opinions. Not in the union=keep your complaints to yourself, pal!

Yep, can’t speak your mind unless you are actively trying to fix it!

Approach1260 03-05-2019 03:08 AM

At least at Piedmont you guys actually get to vote. Over at PSA our Union keeps signing **** behind closed doors without any input from the pilot group.

Then after it's signed they tell us about it and ask for our thoughts as if it's not already signed and sealed.

All we can do is slowly try to replace Union reps one at a time.

Or they try to convince us it's what we wanted the whole time.

Did they ever say what the overall turnout for that survey was? The one that led to the gutting of SDO and an overall paycut?

No it was just a means to an end, a convenient excuse to do whatever nonsense they wanted.

None of the Union reps SAP to 65 to pick up SDO so why not give it away? They're big fans of trading the pilot groups quality of life to improve their own.

PDT shut down Captain upgrades due to FO staffing while new hire classes are single digit in size.

Forced or not, at least PSA is getting enough folks to allow upgrades and career progression...

More points for PSA.

It’s a double edged sword. I don’t think it’s unique to just PSA, but to the wholly owneds in general. When we had premium pay, as an FO, I was making only 200 bucks less a month than a reserve captain and had almost a week off more each month as well. I could have easily made more than a reserve captain if I wanted similar days off. The only reason to upgrade at a wholly owned now is to boost your resumé. Pay and QOL doesn’t mean anything like it used to. Not to mention every FO I’ve flown with has said they’ve flown with several forced upgrades that they would not fly with again. And it’s not because of personality issues.
