Good Lord...The guy only asked if there was anybody on here that may be in his up-coming class! Lay off people. Fine Mesa sucks, who cares about that right now, if that was his concern, he probably would have posted so. Anyhow, there is plenty to read on these forums about each and every airline, and I am sure that the word is already out. Just my .02 cents here!

I think Lewis is joking about going to Mesa. And by "think", I mean "hope".

I ask you again, have any MAG guys come to MAG's defense? NO! Has anyone ever found a thread where a MAG pilot actually defended their airline or JO? NO! You'll find Pinnacle, SKW, AE, ASA, Comair, Horizon, Mesaba, XJT and RAH pilots defending their airline, some more than others. But I ask you where the MAG and GoJets pilots are? I haven't seen many and the ones that are frequently posting have already jump ship to greener pastures and assist in these efforts. |

There is a lot of hostility and it *looks* like most of it is directed at you. In reality everyone is just ****ed at how Mesa treats its pilots and they don't want you to go there and get screwed over. They are upset that Mesa is able to tarnish the industry by offering everyone a fancy jet etc... These posts are made in an attempt to convince you to consider other more reputable carriers. I agree with all of them. There are a bunch of other carriers out there that you more than qualify for who will treat and pay you much better. Try to look past the hostility and take the posts for what they are worth. Good luck.
Lewis; our attempts, whether harsh or not, are part of what we as pilots are doing to better our industry and our efforts aren't confined to this alone. If our comments on here can change the minds of a few pilots a month or help current ones bail then we’re improving our future one pilot at a time. Airlines like MAG and GoJets are using the phenomenon called SJS (Shiny Jet Syndrome = pilots who are willing to fly jets for almost nothing) in their favor to bring down pay and QOL for all pilots. As long as they continue to survive our industry will continue to struggle to regain part of what was lost after 9/11. Friends don’t let friends fly for MAG or GoJets! |

Hey,
Just wondering who is going?? I was hired and I accepted it because I got the plane I wanted, and I believe I will get the base i want. I will be flying into phoenix may 6....let me know who is going!? Believe you got the plane you want when you are sitting in it. Mesa has made those promises many times..... I saw an ERJ class go through training up to the point of completing orals before the checkride and then they were informed you doing it all over again we need you on the CRJ now. |
Got 2 friends, well former friends since friends don't let friends fly for mesa, that are going to be there. Tried to educate both of them before they made the mistake even told them to come to this site and check out what really goes on there, not what the recruiter tells them. But SJS got them, one even had a interview a week later at another airline but didn't go because he "already had a job". Owell what can I do know except sit back and when the call complaining just say I TOLD YOU SO!

Isn't Eagle allowing you to choose your base before you start class? That would be my choice if I "really" wanted ORD.
But even flying ATRs in SJU would be better than getting 'it' from Mesa. |
Alright guys give it a rest.
Lewis- I have been at Mesa since the beginning of this year. It's not anything like the guys on here say it is. That's because a vast majority of them work elsewhere and speculate about Mesa having never set a foot on the premises. Note: I said vast majority, so I don't want every chotch on here who has worked at mesa to respond to this. You've been quiet this long, so keep it up. Pretty sure you didn't get ORD yet, since you haven't talked to the standing bid girls. That should happen around the end of week 2. Wouldn't count on the jet either. The class that started about 3 weeks ago all went to the Beech 1900. If you like to fly, this is a great place b/c you'll do plenty of it. The guys I fly with are great, and I enjoy myself. Pay isn't much, but if you're not used to having a lot of it to begin with, you won't really care. Good luck. Keep a good attitude, and have fun with ground school. I loved it, and PHX is a fun place to be. |
