So what happens with Comair now?

I will say this. From my conversations with people over at the Kremlin, there are a few things that may not happen. One, is that they know the danger of selling Comair to SKW. Delta realizes that this would create a power house of a regional with a lot of power. The pilots would control a lot. Management would as well. It would account for over half to 3/4's of DCI's lift. That alone would make DAL hesitant to sell to them. You are correct in thinking that it would be Mesa.
Delta realizes that they need to keep a varied mix in their DCI portfolio. It allows no one to have real control. Because of this it keeps everyone off balance and prices artificially low. After all even the regional execs have people that they have to account to. We all need to keep our perspective doors open. This over time will cause a lot of pressure on the industry as a whole.
Two, DAL may not sell Comair. There really is not a need at this time. They will be flush with cash after tomorrow, and there will not be a need for them to find more for a period of a few months to a few years. Having CMR as a wholly owned makes sense. They can dump the remainder of the 50's that they own there are replace them with 90's They will do this to ASA as well. DAL own 40-50 of those jets and is planning to replace them with 90's I would be shocked if you saw ASA get any of those. Their business footprint with redesigned. A lot will happen in the DCI portfolio over the next few months and years. Most of it will not be good for the pilot groups. The silver lining is that all of the majors will be hiring.

That is the info that I am seeing. I may be wrong, but I know for a fact that ASA's business plan is about to be changed.
CMR will probably see a lot of the 90's due to their pay rates and where they stand in the corporate structure with DAL.
It is not DAL goal to put ASA or anyone else out of business. They just want to readjust a
