Avoids different pay scales for 200 and 900. I think this will become common in regionals. Expect Mesaba to adopt the same policy soon. Otherwise they will have "three" pilot groups and three pay scales.

There is quite a bit of precedent for that at ALPA carriers...ie 757/767 pay, A319-A321 pay, 737-3/4/500 pay.

Pinnacle pilots could chose to fly both airplanes for a single rate, have separate 200/900 payscales and fly under a blended rate based on ratios, or do like RAH or Skywest and pay the base rate except for flying done in the larger aircraft, which is paid at the higher rate.

Personally, I think it only makes sense to have pilots qualified to fly all airplanes under a common type. A blended or single rate is the "most fair" across the board for pilots IMO because folks can chose to bid QOL and get a decent raise rather than a few bidding the larger plane in order to get a bigger check.

I think Comair's pre-concession 700 rates plus 5% for all CL65 flying is a good jumping off point...

Let's hope they don't keep the 50 seat rates in the 78 seaters.

Not happening... If they *try* it would be interesting to see how they set up the chief pilot's office to drop off resignation letters- "take a number" or just a drop box...

I wouldn't put it past the management there.

management isn't the one in charge anymore... they have 2 new 10 year contracts flying for nwa, and dal. if they want to keep that flying, they better start listening.
