the upgrade is below 2 years at the current moment. the most junior captain to be has been at the company 21 months!

Hey supersix when are you going to training? I start may 7th and am real excited. I have been studying the limitations like crazy and finally have all the double boxed items down pat by memory. I was also told to have to flows down cold, and the qrc which is under the "MON APP BRIEF" tab in volume 1. i am still alittle weak on the flows but will have them down by monday.

I was wondering when do you get your training check during training? thanks for all the help guys, and I'm glad to be with XJET!

I remember getting the check near the end of the first week, like wednesday or thursday. But that was over a year ago and it sounds like things have changed a little. When I went through they didn't give a hoot about memory items and limitations and just wanted you to know the flows. Didn't even know what a QRC or a "MON APP BRIEF" was when i started:D Best of luck to you guys. Don't let anyone scare you, life is great and things are still moving around here.

Hey thanks a lot guys, it's was pretty cool getting the cfm's but it's a bit overwhelming. the advice is much appreciated, and hopefully that check comes soon or i might be a bit hungry come week 2-3.

It's a lot to look over, and make sure that you read it all. But sometimes it can help to prioritize/compartmentalize what you need to know.

Expample, going into your oral, you will need to know the systems. Don't spend the night before studying the profiles/callouts, there will be time for that later.

What packet are ya talking about? I have a June 18th class date, so I'm trying to prepare. I have the white binder (with the flows in the back, and the rest of the stuff is a breakdown of the FTD's), and I have the Volume I and II green folders.

I should basically study the flows, limitations, flight profiles, and systems?

Thanks for the help guys. And do they sell those binders there, or do you recommend buying them prior to heading out there?

supersix-4, you ex-army?

Know the flows. You got the binders and the packet, which is better than what I got (just the packet). They're not giving out the white binder anymore. That being said, if you know the flows and what you're actually looking for before you get to training, you'll be that much further ahead. There are several people in my class that aren't up to speed on the flows, and it shows. We start FTD in the morning.

Good luck!

Thanks, I will do that. Also, I'm assuming that I do not need to know the captain only flows (Receiving, Before Start, and Parking)? This a correct assumption?

Not to hijack the thread as well but what are your predictions on hiring at Xjet for the second half of the year? And next year? thanks

Hiring will continue at an alarming rate until the majors stop taking people off our list at an alarming rate. That being said, I am out this MF! :D

After 7 years in the airline business I have learned one thing, the only thing certain is yesterday! Just ask DoJetDriver :) P.S. Congrats on finally getting to the left seat. Enjoy the heck out of getting ready for your brown uniform!

You are expected to be familiar with them. You will be a non flying pilot in the sims for your partner. The more you know the better a NFP you will be.
